Between Monday and now, I've fixed the rocket lag problem, made some hand/footprints, stitched the bg, and made another stomp dirt variation. We are now having issues with the car roll in animation, as the car was animated on a downward tilt, so the rear wheels dont touch the ground plane. We also have to fix the driver disappearing, and I have to render the tiresmoke/shadow layers. Here is the new effects precomp:

This weekend I worked on getting most of the render passes out. I also created 2 more rocket trail variations (1 with small sprites, and 1 with random sprites and spread), as well as a few other variations of the stomp dirt pass. Here is a rough comp with the elements just put over a beauty pass of the bot. It glitches a little where the farm dropped frames for the robot. Also, I am not a compositor, so I'm sure this will look much different when Adam works on it.

So far I've rendered 24 passes/elements. Each element has a ground shadow, and Bot Shadow pass.
To-do list:
-Fix 2nd missile smoke trail
-Fix ground stomp shadow strength
-create 1 more ground stomp variation
-Export bmw as an FBX to kick up dust as it drives
-create that dust
-Render those dust passes with a ground shadow pass
-Paint dirt and scratches textures for bot
